Conté Crayons or "Carres" are thinner and harder than traditional pastels, and are made from a blend of natural pigments, kaolin clay, and graphite. This unique formulation helps artists achieve a variety of effects in drawing, sketching, and pastel work. Sticks are approximately 2.5" long × 0.25" square (63mm × 6mm).
