Useful for creating acrylic and traditional watercolour washes on gessoed surfaces. Use with Golden Fluid Acrylics and Acrylic Flow Release for intense staining effects.
Golden Gessos & Grounds are products with 100% Acrylic Polymer Dispersion. Ready to use. Dried film has excellent flexibility, water and UV resistance. Minimum film formation temperature is 49°F / 9°C.
Directions:
Refer to the Golden website for instructions on using as a primer for oil paints. May be thinned with up to 25% water to improve leveling. Apply only to gessoed supports, allow each layer to dry completely between coats. Multiple coats increase absorbency. Due to the fragile, absorbent quality of the ground, finished paintings need to be protected. Best adhesion on clean, non-oily surfaces. Clean with soap and water.
