Stillman & Birn Zeta Series books contain extra heavyweight (180lb/270gsm) multi-media, natural white paper with a smooth surface texture. This texture provides great line control, and will work well with dry & wet media, watercolours, & inks. The opaque paper means colours stay bright and  intense, and the paper has both internal and surface sizing, a unique feature of Stillman & Birn papers.

History:
The Stillman & Birn sketchbook program recognizes the special relationship that artists have with sketchbooks and aspires to offer a premium product range that is worthy of that relationship.  The original company, Stillman & Birn Inc., was founded in 1958 in the SoHo district of Manhattan by Philip Birn (1911-2004).  Birn was a highly admired Viennese bookbinder who brought his Old World craftsmanship to North America and it is his nephew, along with a partner, who once more offer the Stillman & Birn quality in their books.
