W&N Artists’ WC Half Pan Winsor Blue (RS)

Pan watercolours are paints that come in dried form, in a plastic or ceramic pan. They are wonderful for painting plein air or for travel, since they take up so little space. To use, apply water to the pan, either by wetting it with a spray bottle, a wet brush, or a dropper in order to moisten the colour. Let the colour sit for a few minutes to allow the water to soak into the pigment, then lift it with a wet or damp brush onto your palette. Apply more water to thin your wash to the desired consistency.
