Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd - Dioxazine Purple - 37ml

Traditional oils, wonderful as they are, take a very long time to dry. That's why Winsor & Newton created Griffin Alkyds - they dry much more quickly and this means impasto and glazing techniques can be done in a single session.  Winsor & Newton's Griffins are a bit more fluid in consistency than traditional oils and they dry with a somewhat more reflective surface, too.

Dioxazine Purple is a vivid mid-shade purple pigment. When undiluted, it can be used as a deep black. It is made from a transparent coal tar pigment and was introduced into the Winsor & Newton range in the 1960s.
