Soft Vine Charcoal is a soft, dark grey charcoal ideal for large scale drawings or filling in.  

Winsor & Newton Vine Charcoal and Willow Charcoal are of the highest quality and carefully selected for uniformity without imperfections. Specially prepared for artists' use, the wood is correctly baked to produce an even line of consistent intensity. Vine Charcoal produces a rich dark gray line whilst Willow Charcoal produces a velvety black line.
