Yasutomo Traditional Chinese Sumi Ink – Silver Black – 180mL

Yasutomo Traditional Chinese Sumi Ink is a permanent quality ink made from Vegetable oil soot. Use it for traditional Sumi painting or calligraphy.

Use on absorbent washi (rice papers) for strongest metallic effect.

Fade-resistant and water re-soluble. Chinese inks produce slightly cooler tones than Japanese inks.

For best use, shake well and vigorously before pouring the ink out of the bottle. You should hear the mixing balls shaking inside of the bottle; these disperse the metallic pigment throughout the ink.
